How can I see my credit file?
You can see your own credit report now for only
$13.44. (Includes score and explanation.)Click
for your credit report.
You have a right to see your credit file for a nominal cost, or in
certain cases, free. For example, within 60 days after being denied
credit or employment based on your credit report, you have a right to a
free credit report from the bureau that provided the report. The company that
declined you can provide the phone number or address. (You cant get
the free reports over the Internet.)
If you are unemployed and looking for a job, on welfare, or if your
report has inaccuracies due to fraud, you may be entitled to a free
report, once each year. Again, this must come directly from a credit
reporting agency. It is not available over the Internet.
Online credit reports can be viewed in a matter of seconds!
